This is a 12 team h2h, currently 4 games out of first. i currently have NO bench position players and a plethora of pitching (which i don't mind actually because there are a lot of pitching stats to be had). I really want to add Delmon Young but don't know who to drop. It would be nice to be able to drop a SP since i have so many but i don't have any i want to drop outright (unless Beckett goes down again). So do i hold tight, drop a pitcher, or drop Jason Bay who I'm just so damn tired of this year. He's the Adam Lind of the NL and barely rosterable in 12 team formats given his current production level.

There's no question that he HAS been more productive thus far...the pertinent question is do we expect that to continue with reasonable confidence. In another league I dropped Lind for Aramis Ramirez and I haven't looked back since. |

I'd stick with Jason Bay... He's on pace for almost career worst numbers and he's in the middle of his prime. A major break out should be expected soon. Historically, August has been one of Bay's most productive months so I think it'd be a bad time to give up on him. _________________ Please click here & support this site... |

| Take the chance on Delmon Young, chances are if he's still available, Jason Bay will sit in Free Agency as well |

I'm going with Delmon Young over Bay as well. Bay is hurting (concussion symptoms) while he could get better over the balance of the season, he could also get worse. IMO the latter is more likely than the former.
Delmon is not a fluke, he's just a 24 year old mega-talent who is starting to figure it out. Not everyone hits the ground running like Evan Longoria or Stephen Strasburg. _________________ DH2 Baseball 2004 1st Place

| Quote: | NEW YORK -- As each hour passes, Jason Bay moves closer to the disabled list because of what the New York Mets have described as a "mild concussion."
Bay suffered the concussion last Friday in Los Angeles when he made a running catch against the wall. Doctors diagnosed the concussion on Tuesday, starting a 48- to 72-hour clock that could land Bay on the disabled list.
Mets manager Jerry Manuel said that if there is no meaningful improvement by Thursday or Friday at the latest, Bay will be put on the 15-day DL.
"If there is nothing in terms of progress, we'll make a decision to put him on the DL," Manuel said before Wednesday's Mets-Cardinals game.
Manuel said Bay told him he did not feel much better Wednesday than he did Tuesday. Bay has never had a concussion diagnosed before.
The Mets have plenty of experience with concussed players, having dealt with the head injury to David Wright, Ryan Church and Mike Cameron in recent years.
